Simon and Julie: Jesmond Dene House

Simon and Julie asked me to photograph their beautiful church wedding, followed by a reception at Jesmond Dene House.
They are such an awesome couple and it was great to get to know them. The day was a chilled-out, beautiful, happy time with the couple surrounded by friends and family who clearly love them very much.
Julie prepped at her beautiful home in the morning and then popped out to get her hair done. I always enjoy photographing in new locations and The Boiler Shop in Jesmond was a super-cool and interesting backdrop to photograph Julie in while she was getting her hair done.
Their ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church, Jesmond and felt very personal. It was then just a short trip to Jesmond Dene House where there was a drinks reception awaiting.
The sun was shining all day long and the guests made use of the gorgeous gardens at Jesmond Dene House where we took some portraits of the happy couple. A really nice touch was that the wedding guests sat down to afternoon tea, which is what Simon and Julie had on their first date together. There were some genuine, emotional, and very funny speeches.
Their day seemed perfect and everybody had a smile of their face the whole way through. It was such a lovely day to reflect two truly lovely people.
